How to choose the right helmet?

It is important not to decide on a helmet based on its design and/or colors…Some helmets may be aesthetically attractive but don’t provide comfort or optimal protection for your head. Before buying a helmet, insure it meets the CPSC safety standards for bicycle helmets.
Additionally, you have to choose your bicycle helmet according to age and/or size of your head, plus according to the indications written on the package of the helmet when you buy it.
For instance, an adult with a head size measuring 60 centimetres (measured on the ears level) has to choose a medium-large Oryx helmet (ideal for head sizes between 55-63cm). However, your comfort is an important criterion to consider. Note that for some of the helmets, you can find a fit-system to adjust it efficiently and properly on the head, for a safe comfort ride.
